With more than six years experience on international project management, policy monitoring and evaluation, Omar has lived and worked in different countries such as India, Colombia, Egypt, Mexico, and now the US to study, develop and implement policies focused on global business competitiveness, productivity, project finance, as well as to conduct research and consult governments and INGOs on alternative development policies such as microfinance-lending schemes, fair trade, education and employment, and other social safety net programs.
At CG/LA Infrastructure, Omar focuses on new business development by creating solid relationships among public sector professionals, private sector executives from regional and international companies (some listed in the Fortune 500), diplomats, and leaders at multilateral organizations. In addition, Mr. Del Valle is General Project Manager for the Latin American Leadership Forum; he also coordinated the 5th Latin Asia Business Forum (Singapore, September 2008) and is currently managing the Saudi Arabia Strategic Infrastructure Leadership Forum (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. November 2009).
Omar enjoys outdoor activities, playing the guitar, and back-pack traveling. He has a B.A in Economics from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and High Studies (ITESM) in Monterrey Mexico, and a M.A. in Public Policy with a concentration in International Policy and Development from Georgetown University in Washington DC.
